Indian Summer
1969
In the winter of 1969, our band (going by the name of Indian Summer) went into a recording studio for the first time. The studio was owned by a gospel singing family in Atlanta, the LeFevre Family. We recorded and mixed seven songs in 4 hours, since we couldn't afford any more time.
The band members cwere Matt Shealy, Drew Nesmith, and me. Drew played the drums and sang lead on "Going Down" and "Find Your Own Way",, as well as backup on "Searchin'". Matt played bass guitar on all songs and sang backup on "Searchin'" and "Going Down". I wrote all of the songs and sang the lead on the other songs.
