I was standing on the corner
On a cold, November day
A solomn procession
of flag draped coffins came my way
The crowd got still and quiet
Some applauded, some cried.
Some raised a final salute to say their goodbyes

And, you can argue about the wisdom of the fight
But these were good men

Who only wanted to do what was right
